Privacy

Private by design. Honest about the limits.

Reclaim is built to help you check one image, review possible matches, save evidence, and prepare a request without turning your photo into a permanent profile.

Quick summary

  • Your preview can stay local until you start a live scan.
  • Live scans may use temporary uploads and third-party search providers.
  • Deletion of temporary uploads is attempted after the scan completes.
  • Reclaim does not keep a permanent image library or send requests automatically.

How image handling works

Your preview stays in your browser until you choose to start a live scan.

For live scans, Reclaim may temporarily upload the image to create a scan URL.

That temporary URL may be shared with third-party search providers such as SerpAPI / Google Lens so public matches can be returned.

When deeper ranking is enabled and supported, accessible candidate images may also be compared with a configured image comparison service.

What Reclaim keeps and what it does not

Reclaim does not keep a permanent photo library.

Temporary uploads are used for scanning, and deletion is attempted after the scan completes.

Scan state, saved evidence choices, and draft request content may be stored in your browser so you can continue your case flow.

Reclaim does not use your images to train models.

Limits to know upfront

No scan can promise to find every copy of an image online.

Reclaim checks public sources only and does not search private accounts or closed groups.

Nothing is sent automatically. You decide whether to save evidence, copy a request, open a report page, or contact a site.
