Terms of Service

Reclaim Privacy (“we”, “us”, “the service”) is an image monitoring tool that helps users find and review potential matches of their photos on the public web, and provides guidance on available removal options.

Important: We do not send takedown notices, legal letters, or removal requests on your behalf. All actions are taken by you. The service provides information and templates to assist you — the decision to act, and responsibility for any actions taken, rests with you.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.
• You must only upload photographs of yourself, or photographs for which you hold the legal right to conduct a reverse image search (e.g., you are the copyright owner or have explicit consent from the subject).
• By using the service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You agree not to use Reclaim Privacy to:

• Stalk, harass, monitor, or surveil any other person.
• Upload images of other people without their explicit consent.
• Conduct searches on behalf of a third party without their knowledge and consent.
• Use scan results to intimidate, coerce, or harm any individual.
• Circumvent technical measures or abuse the service infrastructure.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Scan results are generated by algorithmic image matching and are assigned confidence scores. These scores indicate visual similarity — they do not constitute a legal determination or a guarantee of identity.

• False positives (matches that are not actually your image) are possible.
• False negatives (your image existing online but not found) are possible.
• Always verify a match independently before taking any action.

We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the completeness or accuracy of scan results.

The takedown guidance, notice templates, and step-by-step flow provided by Reclaim Privacy is general informational content only and does not constitute legal advice.

We are not a law firm. For complex cases — particularly those involving multiple jurisdictions, commercial exploitation, or criminal activity — we strongly recommend consulting a qualified solicitor.

One-time access (7-day Pro): A one-time payment grants access to Pro features for 7 calendar days from the date of purchase.

Monthly subscription: Billed monthly. Access continues until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date.

Refund policy: In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, unless you have already fully used the service (e.g., completed a scan and accessed your full results). To request a refund, email hello@reclaimprivacy.app within 14 days of purchase.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.

You retain all rights to images you upload. By uploading an image, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, temporary licence to process that image for the sole purpose of performing the scan you have requested. This licence expires when the scan completes and the image is deleted from our servers.

The Reclaim Privacy platform, brand, and all associated software are owned by us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
• We are not liable for any actions you take based on scan results or takedown guidance.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email with at least 14 days’ notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
